The Tick Tock Wall Clock!!!
“Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn’t matter whether you’re the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.”
― Christopher McDougall
It is a question of survival of the fittest when it comes to this mad race against time. From the solitary standing grandfather clock that restricted the awareness of time to the confines of the living room, we graduated to wall clocks that adorn all rooms. Then we shrank the clocks to timepieces to adorn the bed side tables and study tables. But that just wont do!!! Watches have to be wrapped around our wrists or carried along wherever we go. The burden of time has to accompany us at every step!
It makes us wonder- The only way to outsmart time is to actually speed up on the rough patches and slow down on the greener pastures. Let us allow time to only travel along with us and not overpower us coz every moment not only translates to seconds and minutes but also to cherishable memories and hearty laughters.
